DHS secretary and U.S. attorney general participated in Mexico City discussions on security.
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador in Mexico City on Friday. Several Mexican secretaries joined the security meeting along with U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
State Department spokesman Ned Price stated, “Secretary Blinken and President López Obrador discussed the importance of the U.S.-Mexico bilateral relationship and progress towards advancing our shared security interests through the High-Level Security Dialogue. Secretary Blinken thanked President López Obrador for Mexico’s coordination on a range of security and economic issues, as well as Mexico’s contributions to coordinated migration management in the region.”
